I have been pretty disapointed in Bravo's replacement for Project Runway. A couple of the designs have been cute - I don't always agree on which should win, tho. A couple shows ago they were designing clothes that were supposed to tie into Issac Mitzrahi's line. I really liked Johnny samuri's coat...and Issac seemed offended that it was made in felt. The felt held the shape well...but he probably could have used silk taffeta or wool to make it more expensive. I would totally wear this and may just have to knock it off.
The outfit that did win was kinda cool but I dont understand making a coat without sleeves. Anna did this one. (I think she will be the one that ends up winning the whole thing.) I thought the shorts were kind of silly - I don't understand dressy shorts anymore than a sleeveless coat. Although the ones that Haven designed to go with Anna's coat were a heck of a lot prettier than the tablecloth fabric ones Bravo did to sell. They just look like someone cut up the picnic tablecloth. ick!
Last night's show had some great pieces. I really loved Anna's dress and thought it deserved the win. But then I HATED the version that Bravo made to sell. It was hideous. The original had this beautiful floral print, it looked like japanese cherry blossoms...and they made it look like a joke. The fabric really makes an outfit...eh. Just scarey! I don't think those pleats would look good on very many women anyways.
But then they offed the chicken diva aka Merlin. And I thought he was really talented. I liked his yellow coat - although I would take that ruffle off the shoulder and the pants should just be simple long straight pants with no baggy ruffles on the knee. I think they should have kicked off the picasso kid aka Jean Paul for making that baggy butt diaper skirt. That was truely hideous and should be burned.
In other news, I bought new bras. Pretty exciting, eh? I truely love them. The ones I got are made by Vanity Fair and are called Body Caress. They are without a doubt the most comfortable underwire bras I have ever worn. They get a thumbs up!
